I found Gold Star Coffee when I asked Science Fiction author Spider Robinson which coffee supplier he had described in one of his books as ""the Best in the World"". In the books, his character ordered his coffee from them, and I hoped it was not a fictional company. He told me about Gold Star and I have been getting my coffee from them ever since.

The coffee is great however, the k cup does not fit properly therefore, coffee doesn't brew correctly.

Just roasted my second batch - just slightly darker than the first. Maybe not perfection, but very close. This is a truly awesome coffee. Particularly good in the afternoon - oh yeah!!
A sensitive bean to how much grounds you use. Too much, bitter. Too few, little flavor. The sweet spot is not broad. I had to be more cautious about scooping grounds consistently than with any other coffee I've had, and I'm old so I've sample a lot of beans. Will likely try again. Flavor was quite nice when you were in the sweet spot.

This seems to be a difficult flavor of coffee to find but I did with Gold Star. The coffee arrived quickly and fresh and my craving was satisfied. Another good example of why to buy Canadian.
After the big storm tore up Jamaican coffee plantations several years ago we couldn't find decent Jamaican coffee at any price, until a friend recommended Gold Star. We were more than pleasantly surprised to find such consistently outstanding Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee at remarkable price points. Wallenford Estate is now a regular coffee for us rather than a rare treat.
Begins with a crisp, bright yet mellow start ,then hints of fresh fruit and citrus, with low acidity and a lingering hint of chocolate in the finnish. Just DELIGHTFUL!
We trie many high end coffee of Gold Star such as 645, Panama Esmeralda Geisha, Jamaica Blue Mountain and Jamaica Blue Mountain Peaberry. Definitely, Jamaica Blue Mountain Peaberry is best to our taste style.

I’m so glad I found this company. They are the trifecta; great coffee, great prices, great customer service. My husband and I love the Jamaican Blue mountain dark roast. Dark roast is hard to find so we were tickled when I stumbled upon Gold Star. Blue mountain is the perfect cup of coffee if you’re a cream adding kind of person. It’s smooth, not at all bitter and has a wonderful full body. Love it!
