I'm a Starbucks girl, but I was given this coffee as a gift. I was excited to get a coffee grinder and give it a try! It was delicious! It's got a very rich flavor that isn't too weak and isn't too strong. I, myself usually prefer a dark roast, but this regular roast is perfect! Very smooth and not bitter at all. I make it with my Keurig. It has a nice aroma as well. This is my first time trying a Hawaiian coffee and I'm not disappointed! Give it a try!!!
I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical of Puerto Rican coffee as being premium and priced similarly to Jamaica Blue Mountain & Kona so I could not get myself to buy it. When there was ""Buy $100 or more and get 1/2lb of PR Yauco"" I just had to give it a try. Much to my surprise, this is up there with Kona and perhaps a tad lower than JBM. I subsequently purchased it as a JBM, Kona & Yauco Special and got a decent price for all 3. This is pretty good coffee and I'd buy again!

I love Jamaica blue Mountain, its so smooth and easy drinking with pleasant tongue and after taste - but its usually too expensive and who knows what you will get. Zero uncertainty and great price at Gold Star Coffee. Similar comments on their Kona coffee.

I haven't found JBM PB at this price anywhere, except ""Goldstarcoffee"" aka ""Javaking"" on eBay which is the same company. I don't know how they do it but it's a bargain for such high quality coffee. Like any crop (e. g. , wine/grapes), you have phenomenal years (mid 2000's) and just above Regular Crops (early 2010's) but the JBM PB sold here track them since the climate conditions are same for Mavis Bank, Wallenford, et al. , that you'd pay so much more for as you'd expect. I've been buying for about a decade and will continue to be a faithful customer.
This the second order for Kona coffee. We have visited Hawaii several times and found this coffee very close to the ones we enjoyed in Hawaii. A great flavour and unique taste. Goldstar will grind it the way you want and the sealed packages are great.
A little pricier then other coffees but these beans are special. They are bright and complex with a smooth finish. The roast is always perfect and I like to grind just enough for my 4 cup filter brew. Absolutely spectacular coffee.
We can't start our day without your dark roast Kona coffee. It's the joy of our morning! It is so delicious that we order 10 pounds every few months. We actually farmed Kona coffee when we lived in Kona, Hawaii years ago and now as Texans, we love yours.

JBM PB are the best you can buy at any price (typically 3x elsewhere). I've been buying them from Goldstarcoffee (Javaking) on eBay for our loosely formed coffee club for years. In the last year though, the JBM PB on eBay became only available in bulk plastic bags which made it not possible to splitting in individual 1# bags. When I rediscovered Goldstarcoffee on its own website and similar pricing as eBay, it was a ""no brainer. "" Thank you George!!!

Would have liked more Kona flavor. Tried the French Press with at 180 degrees, immediately after using a conical burr machine with a corse grind setting, but was unable to create the Kono taste that we love. Perhaps if there was a way to obtain fresher roasted beans, we could acheive our goal. Would a lighter roast achieve more flavor/aroma? Any recommendations would sincerely be appreciated Thanks, Terry

Hello, I have been buying from Goldstar for a couple of years, even though I live in Texas, I have not found any coffee that can compare when it comes to Kona & Blue Mountain beans roasted from Goldstar, which in my opinion ARE THE BEST. The service has been 100% safe to buy online and very reasonable on delivery. I have given each of these as gifts for that last two years and my family is happy but my wife is angry! Just gotta buy more i guess.

We have been purchasing decaffeinated coffee beans from Gold Star Coffee for several years, and have always been very satisfied with their product and service. The coffee arrives within days of our order and is fresh and delicious. We have tried alternate brands, but always go back to Gold Star. This is a great 2-pack. . . of beloved coffees, perfectly roasted & ground, every time. The JBM, especially isn't over roasted, which most all do to this delicate bean. They do have the best coffee!
this is good coffee BUT in my opinion city roast is NOT the optimal roast for this coffee. . . the Japanese roast this light and the flavors meld into a utopian marvel. while I'm disappointed with the roast the coffee is good. . . I would not have purchased this coffee had I known the roasting profile. and I paid much more than they are currently charging.

Oct. 28/15 I came across Gold Star Coffee Inc. while searching the internet. I was immediately impressed with their website and even more intrigued with the fact that they supply Wallenford Estates 100% Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee. My husband is a lover of this particular coffee and I'm always on the look out for suppliers in Canada. I phoned the company and spoke to George Mougoyannis and he was very knowledgeable about his products . Needless to say we went to see Mr. Mougoyannis and purchased his coffee immediately. Jamaica Blue Mountain "1Cups"- 40 K-Cup compatible pods
I could never get a really top quality coffee on my single serve Keurig coffee maker until I tried these pods from Gold Star. These are wonderful and are well worth the price. They brew perfect 10oz. Coffee but I like my coffee stronger so I brew them at 8 oz. The Jamaica has a fantastic big bold coffee flavor with a clean finish. The Hawaiian is so smooth and mellow like nothing you ever tasted. I enjoy them both immensely, you will too.
You can't go wrong with Gold Star. Anyone who knows JBM coffee knows there's the great stuff, the really good stuff and the ""why even bother"" (most retailers). All of Gold Star, including JBM & Kona are definitely the best you get (with a splurge) or just best for the money - no exceptions. Undeniably this is an informed business how coffee, roasting, flavoring and how shipping/ time affects the coffee, etc. They'll work with you and clearly aim for customers to be happy & with the coffee they roast, they have get them! Too often many roasters over-roast the coffee, as people think darker is always better - WRONG. For many beans, light or medium is far more flavorful (and has more caffeine if that's your goal). Finally, if you have food allergy/ intolerance challenges, their flavorings have been the safest we've found - after using over 40 different vendors. Plus, they're pricing is amongst the most reasonable out there, expecially when you consider the perfectly grind it to your request (and Perc grind is NOT easy to find). Thanks, George & crew.
