We've now ordered from Gold Star a few times, and we're gradually making our way through flavours (gradually, haha) in their flavoured coffee. My current favourite is Amaretto still, but Bavarian Chocolate comes pretty close! On our last order, we did have problems with three of the flavours. Two of the coffees had an overwhelming banana flavour/scent, and one was missing chocolate. None of the affected flavours had banana in them. I reached out to Gold Star via email just to let them know about the problem, as I figured there must have been a mix up of some sort/something happened during the flavouring process. I was surprised later to get a call from them the next day (I really hadn't been expecting anything), and to have all three bags replaced to make up for the issue! The replacement bags arrived and are solidly delicious as always! On top of this, we also received a free sample bag of ""mmmMocha"" (in our last order) that has also gone down a treat with everyone in our house as a very pleasant surprise! So the sampler definitely helped broaden our horizons. :) Looking forward to putting our next order in when we start running a bit low - as always, will be a trick deciding what to order next! (but in only the best way - so many choices!) Definitely recommend!

You can't go wrong with Gold Star. Anyone who knows JBM coffee knows there's the great stuff, the really good stuff and the ""why even bother"" (most retailers). All of Gold Star, including JBM & Kona are definitely the best you get (with a splurge) or just best for the money - no exceptions. Undeniably this is an informed business how coffee, roasting, flavoring and how shipping/ time affects the coffee, etc. They'll work with you and clearly aim for customers to be happy & with the coffee they roast, they have get them! Too often many roasters over-roast the coffee, as people think darker is always better - WRONG. For many beans, light or medium is far more flavorful (and has more caffeine if that's your goal). Finally, if you have food allergy/ intolerance challenges, their flavorings have been the safest we've found - after using over 40 different vendors. Plus, they're pricing is amongst the most reasonable out there, expecially when you consider the perfectly grind it to your request (and Perc grind is NOT easy to find). Thanks, George & crew. Truly, every day a thanks is said to God for the wonderful coffee & a request for God to bless you, immensely.

I Recently purchased 10lbs of the Black Pack and decided to add the CAFE 645 and give it a try. WOW! I don’t usually buy blends, preferring single origin coffee beans, but when I received my shipment, the first thing I noticed was the aroma coming from one bag. I opened it and brewed myself a cup. . . ‘WOW!’ It was the best cup of roasted beans that I have ever had. So here I sit with 9 pounds of the Black Pack and wishing I had included at least 4 pounds of the CAFE 645 in the pack. I am a very sharing person with my coffee and I will always make them a cup of Gold Star, but when it comes to Cafe 645 I will just let them smell the beans. I am pretty sure that is all that’s needed to sell someone of this blend. Just one more thing, I don’t know how many years I have been brewing with fresh beans, but at least over 35 and it’s been maybe 5 years since I found Gold Star roasters and they are truly the best coffee and service that I have ever received. I can’t say enough good things about Constatine’s great company. I salute you!

We recently decided to buy only shade grown coffee to help save birds from extinction. It is more expensive and they are more difficult to find, but we think the birds and the environment are worth the extra cost and burden. The Gold Star Coffee combo special offer allowed us to try 4 different kinds of fair trade/organic certified coffees at a slightly reduced price as a bonus. The order arrived relatively quickly in five well sealed 1 lb bags. We froze four of them and have now just opened the 3rd one. The Bolivian Colonial is, so far, my favourite one. The Ethiopian Yirgacheffe is a bit too dark for me but my husband likes it; so if you like French roast coffee, you'll probably like it as well. The Peru Penachi, which we just opened today, is a bit coarser than the Bolivian Colonial but still very pleasant to my taste. We haven't tried the Sumatra Takengon yet but we're looking forward to it. I certainly would recommend buying Gold Star Coffee.

Out of 14 different Gold Star coffees I bought over the last 6 months, Hawaiian Kona Extra Fancy is, without doubt, one of my top go-to ones. The reason is simple. The exotic bean varietal, the superb quality and, most importantly, in my opinion, expert roasting, together produces a coffee that deserves the description of Ultra Premium. The pedigree of Kona coffee promises a unique flavour profile and aroma. Out of 8 quality grades for Kona coffee beans, Extra Fancy is given the highest grade by the Hawaii Department of Agriculture (HDA). Kona Extra Fancy beans are uniform in size and shape, and contain almost no defective beans. Hand crafted fire roasting brings out the amazing aroma. The combination of the aroma, the flavour and the aftertaste results in a cup that is smooth, bright, and has a pleasant, lingering aftertaste with no hint of bitterness. It makes you think nothing of having a second cup, or third cup. . .

I've recently gotten into flavoured decaf coffee and this is by far the best I have found! It is so rare to find a flavoured decaf that doesn't sacrifice the coffee for the sake of the flavour. I was living in Europe before Covid-19 hit, which turned me into a bit of a coffee snob, so I was pleasantly surprised to find such excellent coffee so close to home. With my first order I got the Chocolate Banana, Pumpkin Pie, and Toasted Marshmallow. The Chocolate Banana is my favourite out of the three (I love banana flavouring!) because I find the balance between the flavouring and the richness of the coffee is perfect. The Pumpkin Pie is going to be my go to for sitting on the porch in the fall as the spices create an additional warmth to the coffee. The Toasted Marshmallow has the least flavour coming through but it is still a beautiful coffee so I can't be mad. Thank you so much for these beautiful creations!

What drew me to this coffee site originally was the lure of a new flavor. Panama Esmeralda Geisha. Unfortunately all sold out. (Can't wait for the next crop) I decided to try the Jamaican Blue Mountain and Hawaiian Kona as I was getting low from my regular supplier. As soon as I opened up one of the packs I was blown away. The deep fragrance that overpowered your senses was truly amazing. It immediately brought me back to my European roots when my parents used to grind the fresh coffee by hand. I emptied my burr grinder and poured in this new treasure and could hardly wait to try this coffee. I was not disappointed. Finally a black cup of full flavor the way it was meant to be. Kuddos to you Gold Star Coffee. Needless to say you have gained a new customer. By the way, the free half pound of mmmMoccha was a pleasant surprise and opened me up to a new flavor which I probably would not have tried otherwise.

I was impressed by the elegant packaging of my first order of Gold Star Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee Beans from Penlyne Castle. I was equally impressed by the aroma of the coffee beans the second I opened the sealed bag. My wife also commented on how aromatic the coffee beans were. I was even more impressed when I tasted the coffee in the cup. It was everything I expected from a JBM coffee. I loved how smooth it was on the palate. It has just enough body without feeling too full. Well balanced between sweetness and acidity, it has no discernible bitterness. It took me a few tries to get the brewing right for the best result. But, once the brew method is dialed in, this is a coffee I can drink all day and not get tired of. With small batch artisanal roasting, it compares favourably with many other JBM estate coffees offered elsewhere. What a great coffee at a great price!

I have purchased Goldstar coffee for many yearsand they have the freshest, most flavourful coffee! I drink decaff and love the amazing selection of flavours (try the Banana Split or Sea Salted Caramel. . . mmmm) My husband drinks regular but also loves a flavoured coffee - I can order both and we both win/win. Their shipping service is fast and free (I always order enough to take advantage of this service because I know we will drink it all) and they always tuck in something extra plus a free sample bag of coffee. My last order, I forgot to change the grind type on one of my 6 bags and got a personal phone call from Goldstar to see if I had made a mistake!! Talk about caring about your customers! Great company and great service! Thank you Goldstar for making our mornings perfect with the smell of freshly brewed coffee. Lori Neall - Parry Sound, Ontario

We have been purchasing decaffeinated coffee beans from Gold Star Coffee for several years, and have always been very satisfied with their product and service. The coffee arrives within days of our order and is fresh and delicious. We have tried alternate brands, but always go back to Gold Star. We were extremely impressed recently when their website changed and we submitted an order for regular coffee in error. We immediately received a personal telephone call from George questioning our choice, as we have always ordered decaffeinated, prior to him shipping it out. How appreciative we were that he would recognize that it was not a normal order and personally follow up. That is service definitely above and beyond! We will continue our patronage and highly recommend Gold Star Coffee. Sincerely, Brian & Sandra

I have been ordering Gold Star coffee beans for many years for my husband & myself. He loves the ritual of grinding the beans the achieve the ""perfect cup"". The order always arrives promptly, and every order is roasted right before it ships, so when we open the carefully package box, the beans exude a wonderful aroma! Gold Star shows their customer appreciation by including surprise gifts with every order. This time there were two, 1-lb. bags of Ultra-Premium 50th, described as ""three elite Hawaiians: Kona, Maui, & Kauai Peaberry. Smooth, light & fruity with hints of spiced nuts. "" It has a distinct flavor and crema! Thank you, Gold Star! We love the quality of your products, the care in roasting, the amazing taste of the coffee, and your impeccable customer service!

We’ve been using Peet’s Coffee for years now, in fairness a really good coffee, until a self-proclaimed coffee snob at work let me try a pod of his Jamaican Blue. It’s the first time in a long time that I said to myself, “That’s a really great cup of coffee. ” So, I found a different roaster’s Jamaican Blue off Amazon and it wasn’t as good, so I texted him and asked where he got his and he sent me this link. I ordered some for Christmas and surprised my 4-cup-a-day wife with a cup and now we’re all hooked… the entire family. The downside is it costs more but it is worth it. One tip. Our Keurig has a strong setting that we used to use for everything but we find it is too bitter with this coffee. Ordering more of Gold Star and cancelling the other brands.

I have always used the Jamaica blue mountain coffee beans. I had a shipment of of Jamaica blue mountain pea berry twice 10 pounds each which I found it as good if not 5% better. My previous purchase was Jamaica estate reserve coffee beans because the blue mountain and the pea berry were out of stock. I can live with it but for sure the blue mountain is superior of course more expensive. I use it for Keurig, Nespresso capsules and my usual espresso with my semi automatic machine. I have 3 different grinders each is set for one particular coffee. I have never tasted better Keurig, Nesprsso or espresso anywhere. I am happy now I got my new shipment of my blue mountain coffee beans from gold star who I deal only with as the best sellers.

Oct. 28/15 I came across Gold Star Coffee Inc. while searching the internet. I was immediately impressed with their website and even more intrigued with the fact that they supply Wallenford Estates 100% Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee. My husband is a lover of this particular coffee and I'm always on the look out for suppliers in Canada. I phoned the company and spoke to George Mougoyannis and he was very knowledgeable about his products . Needless to say we went to see Mr. Mougoyannis and purchased his coffee immediately. We will continue to be a customer of Gold Star for many years and want to take this opportunity for thanking George for his attentive service and supplying us with the best coffee. With our sincere appreciation.

6lb of freshly roasted, single origin, and sometimes rare coffee beans is hard to come by and gold star makes it easy! I received the coffee about one week after roasting which is optimal. All of the beans were fresh and produced a lot of crema during espresso brewing. Each pound of coffee was individually bagged and sealed for easy use and the bags have reusable seals. The beans were high in quality and concentrated in flavor, making them excellent for espresso. The only thing I'll have to find out more about is the roast level on the label. Instead of a "light, medium, dark" the roast level indicated on the bags is "city. " Very happy with the purchase and I would buy again. These make excellent gifts for coffee lovers.

Decent coffee, but no WOW factor.

I am giving my honest review with no compensation—this is just my personal experience as a coffee enthusiast, not a coffee reseller or barista.

I really wanted to love this coffee roaster’s products. A friend highly recommended this company and encouraged me to try their coffee. I called Gold Star and the customer service was very friendly and promised 100% satisfaction guarantee. They did not have much info about flavor notes on their website, but the rep encouraged me to give them a try anyhow. Since they are willing to stand by their claim to be the best coffee in the world, I decided to order a variety of coffees and see for myself.

Now as you can see, there was a lot of hype and build up for me prior to my actual experience of the coffee. For the record, I ordered 5 pounds of coffee from different origins. I ordered the following: Jamaican Blue Mountain, Jamaican estate reserve, Kenyan Peaberry, Honduran Macala, Honduran yellow honey prima micro lot, and received a free half pound of café 645.

The coffees arrived very quickly after ordering and were all roasted the day they were shipped, which was impressive. They all had a pleasing aroma, though they were roasted more than I had expected—city roast is on the darker end of “medium”, so you definitely taste and smell and see the evidence of a longer roasting period.

Now that I have tried all five of these coffees several times, I have decided to give my review: these are decent/good products but with no WOW factor for me. I’m honestly sad to say it, as I really wanted to love this roasters products, but I’ve found better fresh coffee beans elsewhere at a lower price point.

Here was my approach to brewing. I used my Hario V60 pour over at 180 degrees Fahrenheit. I used a ratio of 1g coffee to 17g filtered water. I used grind sizes 8 and 12 on my Baratza Encore. (Gold Star says to grind their coffee FINE, which suggests it is closer to an espresso grind size. I tried grinding fine for some brews and also brewed some batches with the recommended pour over grind size of 12, which is a bit coarser.) I also tried some other grind sizes and experimented with different water temperatures.

I agree these coffees are very fresh, and for the most part have a bright finish with very little acidity. However, there was not a lot of distinctive flavor note coming through on any of them. I think this may be due to the city roast, which for me personally is too dark. In my opinion, if I’m going to go to the trouble of ordering a single origin coffee, a lighter roast would provide more direct contact with the intrinsic flavors of the beans and less of the “roasted flavor” that tends to make coffee beans of any origin taste more similar to each other.

I have tried a lot of coffees in my lifetime, and these are good/decent coffees, but do not provide a WOW factor. For me, the best coffee in the world should really impress me, especially when I’m paying between $20-$30 a pound.

Overall, I would say they deserve their reputation as a reputable coffee seller who sells fresh coffee, but I have a discerning palate and was looking for something that would really impress me and sadly did not find it here.

I been ordering here before the Pandemic and haven't stopped. I've tried just about every brand of coffee there is, and although there are some brands where it taste too musky or dry to my liking, most are just beyond epic. This is the best and most trusted place I order Jamaican Blue Mountain from (that's my favourite), but I definitely try out other rare strains that come from time to time, as much as I can. Look for my coffee reviews on their site for further details.

Service is also second to no one - you do your order and usually arrives within the first week, if not next business day (which is impressive). When the package arrive, depending on how much you order, you get it neatly packed (not just thrown in), and when you open that first seal you won't forget the aroma. So pleasant regardless of strain. I have yet to have an issue with any order, so I can't testify to their support when having an issue - but I can tell you there were times I forgot a promo code (likely cause I didn't read the email) and they remember for you. That's extra mile service you just won't get anywhere.

Finally pricing: more than fair given you get to select the type of brew and cut you need. I typically choose between fine grind and espresso (for my press). I find their most expensive coffee is priced to match the most expensive you'd find at a retailer (Costo, Wal-mart), the difference is, those retailers just can't compete as their brands, well suck comparing to Gold Star. Star Bucks, Tim Hortons, Nescafe, Nabob, none of them even come close to matching the quality, freshness, aroma, flavour of Gold Star coffee.

You won me over for life, my wife and son too. Thank you, we value your coffee as we know you value our business. You'd be fool not to give this company a try, whether you are business, or just want home use.

I'm writing this review only after placing my second order with Gold Star Coffee after it was recommended to me by a friend and because it was the first time I interacted with their customer service.

I placed an order on Friday afternoon for about 4 bags of coffee for a total of ~$100, and despite the stated ETA being a few days (I can't remember exactly) my entire order arrived the next day, within about 24 hours, which was pleasantly surprising since I was running out of beans!

I contacted customer service because I mistakenly thought that Gold Star Coffee had shipped me a smaller bag (~250g) of a Hawaiian Kona coffee I had ordered but this smaller bag was actually a complementary gift!

I'm not kidding... less than 5 minutes after sending the email on a Saturday evening, I received both a response to my email and a phone call from George who politely pointed out my error. Service this prompt is rare even in more service-focused industries and deserves to be commended.

I can't comment on the coffees I purchased this round but I placed an order a few months ago for a total of 9 bags, Cafe 645 and their 6 bag "mix your own" which consisted of:

Coffee 1: Rwanda Karongi Gitesi
Coffee 2: Nightwish 1/2 Caff
Coffee 3: mmmMidnight - FT Organic
Coffee 4: mmmMocha - FT Organic
Coffee 5: Black Honey
Coffee 6: 50TH

I'm principally making espresso (for me) and americanos (for my wife). All of the beans were very fresh and relatively easy to dial in for perfect, consistent bottomless pulls which can (or at least should!) only be done with fresh beans.

Definitely highly recommend Gold Star and looking forward to trying all of the fresh beans they have on offer.

I spent more than a humanly amount of time surfing the web for coffee when I got my new high end coffee machine Ratio Six, which makes amazing coffee btw, so I wanted a GOOD coffee bean.
My fav is 100% Hawaiian, not Kona coffee and some other coffee mixed in.
I was extremely happy with my purchase from Gold star.
I purchased a Costa Rican, a 100% Hawaiian and a Tanzania Peaberry whole bean coffees for the first time.
Wow! Extremely fast shipping and quality packaging.
Coffee comes with handwritten dates of when the coffee was roasted and it was within one or two weeks of receiving as well as a note of appreciation for purchase. I felt valued as a customer!
I love that it is shipped in Canada. The prices are unbeatable, seriously, for this good of coffee. So very fairly priced!
We use a burr grinder for grinding our coffee fresh on a daily basis.
Omg does the coffee EVER TASTE AMAZING!
The Hawaiian was mind blowing, the other two coffees were an extremely close second only because I prefer Hawaiian but still amazing!
Our friends always want to come for coffee because it’s so darn good!
Please don’t blame the coffee if you order and find it bitter.
There is a very distinct process to make good coffee, starting with a GOOD coffee maker, burr grinder with the correct grind, proper filters to eliminate the bitter oils, proper measuring of beans per cup, brewing temp etc….
Our household will only order this coffee from now on as it is the best all around, service and quality product.
I also love that it supports the Autism Foundation with donations from purchases as well!
Well done Gold Star! 👏🏼Thank you!
It really is the worlds best tasting coffee.

I started purchasing high-quality coffee from Canadian online sellers about two months. I received my first order from Gold star a few days ago. I purchased three bags, each of which was a full pound in weight (most sellers offer just 12 ounce bags). Shipping was free, and the freshly roasted coffee arrived in just two days. I am almost finished the first of the three bags: Yemen Mocha Harraz AA+. I have to say that this is the best-tasting coffee i have had since i began drinking good-quality coffee. I am developing the palate needed to fully appreciate good-quality coffee like this. I can say that i like this coffee very much. The aroma is fantastic, the coffee is smooth and displays nuanced notes as described. As my palate develops, i will enjoy these high quality coffee's even more.
Gold Star's service is top-notch. Great value. And judging by this first bag, offers excellent coffee. I look forward to shopping for and sampling the large variety of high quality coffee offerings exclusively from Gold Star from now on. Highly recommended.

Absolute best, keeps getting better! Gold Star Coffee has been the only coffee I will buy for years and I was worried about the tariffs making it off limits! They’ve designed a new system to ensure the freshly roasted beans are still arriving in the same time and not stuck in customs. My recent order arrived in one week and not only had my favorite 10 pounds of individually packaged Jamaican Estate Reserve, but the 2 free bags of Ultra Premium 50 blend AND amazing Black Friday gifts! A beautiful Gold Star Coffee hat, Gold Star Coffee travel tumbler and bag clips! Absolutely fabulous customer service to match the best coffee beans in the world. Yes, I’ve traveled to many lands, and this is the best. Even the UPS man asked for the website after the aroma of fresh beans in his truck sparked his cravings for a fine cup of coffee! There isn’t a roaster anywhere who could compare in quality, service or price!

I'm not a fan of writing reviews because I feel they mostly go unread but I am willing to do one for this coffee. While I can't speak to the quality of the unflavored coffee, their flavored coffee is unparalleled. I have drank coffee for decades and I have never experienced such a rich aroma and flavor. I first found them by looking for a candycane coffee for a family member when the local store stopped stocking it. They were blown away and had me try some. I was also taken aback at how the flavor was just as prominent as the smell from the bag.

After that, I have done my best to only order my flavored coffees from here. Amazing customer service, fast shipping (within Canada at least) and the quality of product has never dipped. Whenever I travel, I purchase a few bags to take with me because, as far as flavored coffees go, no other coffee does the job quite like this one.

Gold Star Coffee has been my go-to bean supplier for many years now! I purchase green beans and roast them myself with an Artisan 3-e. My favorites include Jamaica Blue Mountain, especially the Peaberry version, alongside Hawaii Kona, Puerto Rico Yauko Selecto AA, and Yemen Red Mocha.

GoldStar pays attention to the small details too, and it shows through the quality of the beans. The packaging is top notch and holds up through anything UPS can throw at it during shipping (thanks also to the entire UPS football team)!

I was impressed on the few occasions where I spoke directly with the company. George and the entire team are approachable, kind and caring... And they know coffee like it's their business!

I shop with GoldStar because they know coffee, they know people, and they know what I want as a small home roaster: great beans at a great price!

Gold Star Coffe is an Ontario-based coffee beans supplier for coffee lovers. Right now this is my favourite source of high quality single-origin coffee beans. I grind Gold Star Coffee beans and brew a fresh cup of coffee every morning and this has been my favourite morning ritual for many years. There are other coffee beans suppliers, of course, but Gold Star is the number one in my list because of the available coffee beans selection, freshness of the product, speedy delivery, and one of the best prices I could find. So, for me it's a no-brainer. Whenever I need a new batch of freshly roasted single-origin coffee beans of my liking Gold Star Coffee is where I go.

I acknowledge that I needed to try different sorts of coffee beans and learn how to best brew the Gold Start Coffee beans, but once I figured all that out, I keep coming back.

Just received my second order of Boquete coffee beans. Got free shipping and a half pound of Blue Mountain. We have been to Panama and saw the coffee growing in the mountains. A very clean operation and the bushes grow on steep grades and in between volcanic boulders. It makes for great scenery. The people are friendly, clean and hard working. I read that only 1% of the worlds coffee comes from Panama. Should be called the 1%er coffee! Very good coffee without any bitterness. I use far less to no sugar with it and a tad of frothed cream. It's totally different reality for coffee compared to the bitterness and bite of Tims and other coffee outlets that sell jacked up caffeine in their coffee. I also appreciate the fast delivery with emails telling me the progress. At these prices it's a no brainer, we'll never buy grocery store coffee again.

Not just Gold Star Coffee, Gold Start Service too! I am so happy with the speed and quality of the coffee and the communication. At first, I was unsure about the flavour of my coffee. I contacted Gold Star with my concern and learned that I likely needed to let my beans rest a few more days as the beans were so, so fresh. I didn't know coffee could be too fresh! I have been a avid coffee drinker for years and was already buying the best beans I could find but never had I encountered this. Thank you Gold Star for providing lightning fast shipping, the ultimate in freshness and stellar follow up/support. I am sipping on a cup right now and loving it, all the nuance and subtlety I look for. I am excited to try all their offerings. Thank-you Gold Star Coffee for being ABSOLUTELY AWESOME! Concierge-level service and a truly top notch product!

Stopped into Gold Star Coffee on John’s Island, SC and it’s exactly the kind of place you hope to find when you’re searching for a great local coffee shop - i was obsessed!

The cortado was excellent, smooth, balanced, and perfectly pulled. My wife is a huge coffee addict. Before finding Gold Star Coffee she would do her daily trips to Starbucks, dropping $6-$7 per drink easy. I'm not even sure how we first found out about GSC but so glad I made the order and years later we haven't stopped ordering 10lbs at a time. My wife's favorite is the Jamaican Peaberry at $18/lb. One bag easily lasts 2 weeks. So do you want to pay $98 (14x$7) at Starbucks or make your own fresh coffee at home without all the lines and hassle for $18?

Even though Gold Star is a Canadian company...I was collecting donations for the Chico fires in California a few years ago. Someone from the company quickly responded and without hesitation they donated huge boxes of coffee that I was able to take to the Red Cross centers in Chico.

Great service from start to finish. Very professional and the coffee... Wow! I order low acid coffee as it usually give me terrible indigestion. Not their low acid 50th blend. Mmmmmm. Come of think of it, I'm going to have myself another cup right as soon as I'm done writing this!! Great coffee at a fair price. Who could ask for more!! Even ordered some of that Jamaican Blue for company... Whenever we can have company again lol!! Cheers!

*Update 11Jan26 - Just as amazing as always. Same day roast, if they shipped any faster they would be reading my mind. Come within 24 hours from the time I order it! I LOVE the Jamaica Blue low acid and my current "high test" favorite is the Kona Extra Fancy. Take my $$ GoldStar!!! :)

I recently ordered the 6lb set of green beans as a Christmas gift for my husband who has a home roaster. I was so happy to come across Gold Star as an online source for unroasted beans, since we'd lost the two main suppliers we'd been buying from in the Toronto area over the last few years. Gold Star's selection is fantastic, and the two varieties we've tried since Christmas (from Costa Rica and Hawaii) have been outstanding quality. Their customer service is great too - a missing pound in the initial shipment was rectified quickly without hassle, and arrived the next day. I can highly recommend Gold Star for quality beans and service.

Update 12/24: Still ordering our beans from Gold Star - they never disappoint!

I came across Gold Star Coffee Inc. while searching the internet.

Second time ordering from them now. First time I was a little hesitant. 10lbs is a lot of coffee... And it's a lot to get through if the coffee sucks lol. A lot of money too. Reviews looked good enough to risk it though. Glad I did. The coffee is excellent. Personally not a fan of the Honey Process coffees, but the Blue Mountain, the Kona, the Jamaican Reserve, the Yemen, and the mmmMocha are top notch. Order arrives quickly, fresh roasted, good price for higher end coffee. Priced it out to about 16 cad a pound, which is about 8 dollars better than buying premium in store for us.

We ordered 14lbs this last time lol. Tried some of the flavoured coffees. Pumpkin spice one is really good.

Gold Star coffee is superb. I have been buying now for a few years. My last order was here (across Canada from Gold Star) in record time. The beans were roasted just the day or two before shipping. Not only is their coffee wonderful, but so is their customer service. A couple of years ago I had a problem with the delivery of my order. I contacted Gold Star at 9 pm Pacific Time and at 6:30 am I had a phone call apologizing for the problem with the order. The shipping company apparently had an issue and the shipment was missing. Even though it was not Gold Star's fault, they sent me a replacement order by overnight shipping and even included a ball cap in the package for me. What service!

“We've now ordered from Gold Star a few times, and we're gradually making our way through flavours (gradually, haha) in their flavoured coffee. (but in only the best way - so many choices!) Definitely recommend!”
“We recently decided to buy only shade grown coffee to help save birds from extinction. I certainly would recommend buying Gold Star Coffee.”
“Out of 14 different Gold Star coffees I bought over the last 6 months, Hawaiian Kona Extra Fancy is, without doubt, one of my top go-to ones. It makes you think nothing of having a second cup, or third cup. . .”
“I ordered 4 different decaf flavours to test them out. My first cup wasn't as flavourful as I expected but I think it's because I didn't put enough coffee grounds for water ratio. All following pots have been great and flavourful. I bought After 8 (chocolate mint), Chocolate raspberry, Butter Pecan, and Vanilla Almond Chocolate. All are great. The Butter Pecan doesn't have any sweetness to it (but it's not bitter either). It's more ""buttery"" than ""pecany"" but not in a gross way. It's flavourful but I guess I expected sweet Butter Pecan pie flavour, which it isn't. I haven't had any heartburn, which is fantastic. Very happy with my purchase and I'll be buying more for sure. Doesn't taste like decaf.”
“You can't go wrong with Gold Star. Truly, every day a thanks is said to God for the wonderful coffee & a request for God to bless you, immensely.”
“I Recently purchased 10lbs of the Black Pack and decided to add the CAFE 645 and give it a try. I salute you!”
“I have been ordering Gold Star coffee beans for many years for my husband & myself. We love the quality of your products, the care in roasting, the amazing taste of the coffee, and your impeccable customer service!”

USA · 4 lb Hawaii Kona Extra Fancy Coffee DARK ROAST
“We’ve been using Peet’s Coffee for years now, in fairness a really good coffee, until a self-proclaimed coffee snob at work let me try a pod of his Jamaican Blue. Ordering more of Gold Star and cancelling the other brands.”

“I was impressed by the elegant packaging of my first order of Gold Star Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee Beans from Penlyne Castle. What a great coffee at a great price!”
“Absolute best, keeps getting better! There isn’t a roaster anywhere who could compare in quality, service or price!”
I was gifted a bag of the Panama boquete and was blown away. So smooth and clean. I drink it black because it is so delicious. I put in my first order, grabbing two bags of the Panama and one of the Yemen; my order was processed same day, delivery was quick, and the beans are ground perfectly for my French press. Will definitely be ordering again.
The best coffees ever and great value for your money! Prompt delivery and customer service. I particularly like the Costa Rica Black Honey and the Hawaiian Kona. These coffees are on a different level and you can taste difference immediately! ☕️💯
Gold Star’s coffee is the best! We were so happy to find them online a few years ago, and are steady customers for the incredible Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee - whole bean. We order 10 pounds at a time. With the cost, each full pot costs approximately $3.50 to brew. It may seem like a high price “all at once”, but it’s not. Delivery is super quick, too! Family & friends love coming to our house for coffee.
Very lovely. Again I think it's best made pretty strong. It has some acidity but not overly so. Excellent complex flavours. I'll likely purchase again.
Order one day delivered fresh roasted the next. I like the Costa Rican Tarrazu after visiting the region and touring some coffee farms there. Hand picked and delicious.
This is one of the best coffees I have ever had, first tried it while I was Maui. This has just made me think I was back on the island. super fast service and so far a great experience.
