This batch of coffee was under-roasted in my opinion. The beans were light brown in color and had zero oil on the surface. I used to order Colombian Supremo from Gold Star 10 years ago and the beans were much darker and had that oily shiny look that is so inviting. The taste used to be spectacular but unfortunately now the taste is dull without any of the richness and fullness they had in the past.

I recently received a 6 lbs mix order and Honduras Yellow Honey Gold was a free add-on. I make primarily milk based espresso drinks such as cappuccinos, lattes on an Italian made E61 machine by Quick Mill. Let me says, I'm glad they included this as these beans are very nice, smooth, slight nutty, creamy flavours of noisette, floral and fruit. Wonderful!

Overall, this is the most pleasant, easy drinking, and refreshing coffee that I have ever tried. Nice and bright (in the best way) on the palate with a mildly sweet finish. I pick up notes of chocolate. It is very versatile and would pair with most foods. A wonderful surprise!

What can I say. . . gold stars selection is great quality is great and service is second to none!! If I place my order on a Sunday they roast it and ship it on the Monday and I have it at my doorstep on the Tuesday. It doesn't get any better than that and the price is quite reasonable considering the amazing quality inconsistency of the coffee.

I love coffee but often find it very hard to find GOOD coffee. When travelling to Jamaica, I first tried Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee and I was hooked. When we returned home, I started searching for the same coffee but each one I tried was not the same. It then became my mission to try to find a Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee like the one I’d grown to love and it was HARD. I eventually started the importing coffee straight from Jamaica and it was delicious but a huge investment (expensive coffee, costly shipping, broker fees, etc. ). After a lot of research, I finally came across GoldStar Coffee. Their fresh roasted high quality coffee exceeded my expectations and I actually prefer it to the brand I had imported! I will now never buy from anywhere else! I love when we have company over and I serve them a cup. I never say anything, just offer them a cup of coffee and EVERY time I get the same reaction, “wow, this is really good coffee, what kind is it?” I would HIGHLY recommend GoldStar coffee to anyone who appreciates good quality coffee.
