i have a pretty serious espresso machine and have had dozens of different roasts at home. Usually i find Blue Mountain smooth but almost insipid. This one is fantastic, with waves of flavor. Bitterness, like the membrane of a freshly shelled walnut. Taste of leather and tobacco, like a great cigar. And over all, a kind of cherry blossom / cherry fruitiness and fragrance. But with controlled acidity. Amazing.

The design of this cup is perfect Double wall construction keeps the outside cool wile maintaining the fluid temperature due to its excellent conductive heat barrier. The shape adds to the thermal insulation by constricting slightly at the top decreasing evaporative and convection loss. Comfortable and easy to hold. The cup tolerates being on a warmer plate if you are sipping rather than drinking. Of course, can't be reheated in a microwave.

I Recently purchased 10lbs of the Black Pack and decided to add the CAFE 645 and give it a try. WOW! I don’t usually buy blends, preferring single origin coffee beans, but when I received my shipment, the first thing I noticed was the aroma coming from one bag. I opened it and brewed myself a cup. . . ‘WOW!’ It was the best cup of roasted beans that I have ever had. So here I sit with 9 pounds of the Black Pack and wishing I had included at least 4 pounds of the CAFE 645 in the pack. I am a very sharing person with my coffee and I will always make them a cup of Gold Star, but when it comes to Cafe 645 I will just let them smell the beans. I am pretty sure that is all that’s needed to sell someone of this blend. Just one more thing, I don’t know how many years I have been brewing with fresh beans, but at least over 35 and it’s been maybe 5 years since I found Gold Star roasters and they are truly the best coffee and service that I have ever received. I can’t say enough good things about Constatine’s great company. I salute you!

I've purchased a variety of Green coffees. I roast my own and experiment with different roast levels. I've bought: Jamaica Blue Mountain, Hawaii Kona Extra Fancy, Maui Red Catual, Puerto Rico Yauco Selecto and Guatemala Antigua. Although Jamaica Blue and Hawaii Kona get most of the praise from coffee aficionados, I find the Maui Red Catual, Puerto Rico Yauco Selecto and Guatemala Antigua to be my favorites. I sometimes make a blend but find the single origin to be the best. Although I'm still trying different blends looking for the perfect cup. Gold Star also has the best prices and the shipping is quick. Great company!!!
