My wife and I spent our honeymoon in Ocho Rios and every morning we would enjoy Blue Mountain coffee. As a surprise, I bought this very expensive coffee to celebrate our anniversary. We were both very disappointed as this coffee tasted nothing like the Blue Mountain coffee that we had in Jamaica. In fact my wife remarked that she preferred Sumatra Reserve over the Blue Mountain. I know that this stuff can't be returned after it has been opened but I can caution others to expect disappointment.

I’ve always gone with blue Mountain for my morning coffee to ease me into the day. Smooth and delicious and if you like sweet without sugar , this luxurious coffee is a great choice. I have also roasted these from green beans to a medium roast and they roast exceptionally well. Trust Goldstar for the best beans which can be had

But I was very pleasantly surprised that the grind that was requested (coarse, for the French Press method of brewing) was exactly that. . . coarse ground to perfection. Thank you for that.

As is typical, a dark roast sacrifices some of the bean's complexity. However, as with other coffees, the dark roast remains my preference in the case of JBL. It has great flavor and is silky smooth as it passes over the tongue.
