Been a customer for several years and I'm leaving another review (previous 5 stars as well) because of the once again exceptional service I received. Placed an order last week and all went well until it was discovered there was an address error. Rather than saying we'll just inform the carrier to correct it which will delay it, George chose to resend my order via a 2 day service to insure I received it as originally intended, all at his suggestion and cost, not mine! I had sent the email late in the evening and he replied in 10 mins, then called me the next morning to tell me what he was doing! Even if they had just made the address correction and it arrived later I wouldn't have been thrilled but certainly wouldn't have held it against them. Mistakes happen it's what you do after that matters. But for him to do what he did is WHY they are better than anyone else I have dealt with (and there were a few before I settled with Goldstar) and reaffirms why I will not buy anywhere else. The coffee speaks for itself. ALWAYS high quality and fresh and I won't buy anywhere else just for that. But also exercises World Class customer service, not just talks about it like most. Thank you George and Goldstar Coffee for being a shining beacon for how business should be conducted. Least I can do is post a review.

I ordered four bags of Jamaica BlueMountain ultra premium and it was on my doorstep in no time and when I brought the first pot the first couple of sips was like the scene in Pulp Fiction When Mr. Wolf takes a sip of the coffee Quentin Tarantino prepared for him he’s turning any turns back on those raises the cup toward Quentin and give us a nodding approval and Grunt. I have had a lot of Jamaican coffee over the years but getting it if I don't go there often it is a hassle to get here. Buying it when you are in Jamaica (if you don't want to overpay) is a hassle. I had my doubts going into my first buy with gold star as I've tried a few times to buy JBM from domestic roasters and they all sucked. I did a side by side comparison to the real deal I brought back fresh and this stuff holds up. I doubt many could tell the difference. So I might be a customer for life now as I can get JBM at much less per pound and it comes freshly roasted to my door.

I have been a Gold Star customer for years. Recently I've purchased the 10 pound custom combo which is my typical order. Very recent, after that order with news reports of natural or environmental challenges in the coffee growing world I ordered another 6 pound custom coffee order. This order was to buffer any increase over the next couple of months. After that, unfortunately if coffee regions such as Jamacan struggle prices will inevitably rise.

The chocolate flavored coffee is devine! Since it's decafinated, it can be desert before bed. :kissing_heart: The kona coffee is also as great as expected, although a little outshone by it's other buddy at the moment. I highly recommend this Canadian company.

I've tried 3 different beans from Gold Star. Roasting is excellent not over roasted to the point of tasting burnt like some of the corporate coffee houses (Starbucks, I'm looking at you). The coffees have been smooth, low acid and very flavourful. The only thing is, get used to using a bit more grounds, the coffee is so smooth you'll want to drink it strong.

We love our Gold Star coffee. Unfortunately it has made 98% of other coffees not enjoyable. When someone asks if you would like to come over for coffee there is always that hesitation. You know it's not going to be Gold Star coffee. So to be polite you endure. I have managed to change the coffee drinking habits of a number of folks to start buying Gold Star coffee.

Sure it's way more expensive than the bulk bags at cost box stores but finding that one coffee that tastes amazing is well worth it. We love the Maui Red Cataui Top Crop!!. We still drink the cost box coffee much of the time but when you really want top shelf coffee that will hit the spot or are having friends and family over the good stuff always gets brewed.
