I bought this to share with my co-workers. The aroma after the Yauco is roasted is amazing. Everyone at work loved it. We use a French Press for every brew so far. Its very smooth, no bitterness at all. Two of us noted a fruity or fruit-like component as well. I highly recommend these beans.

I bought the Yauco Selecto AA roasted and unroasted beans to share with my co-workers. I was very pleased to discover that the roasted beans come out of the roaster the day they are shipped. We tried those first and everyone loves the coffee. I roasted the green Yauco Selecto a few days ago and they are also making excellent coffee.

We have been purchasing both of these coffees for two years. Living in the US, it seems strange to order from Canada, but we haven’t found a company that makes the same delicious coffee. It comes freshly ground, maybe two days prior to our receipt. The smell is outstanding when it arrives. We suggest, if you haven’t tried Gold Star Coffee, we suggest you do.

I have ordered JBM from Gold Star many times - both green and roasted JMB coffee beans are fantastic. Further, the customer service is amazing - when my shipment was unduly delayed by UPS (no fault at all from Gold Star), i called Gold Star, the manager immediately re-roasted another batch and shipped overnight to California, and then dealt with UPS about their delay. Happy service, happy customer!

Very good beans. Low acid Africa like you'd expect, but a bit brighter. Rich earthy taste like you'd expect, but a bit brighter. Not convinced yet to pay the premium for this compared to single country beans; but, this was excellent coffee. Well worth a few pounds to try it.
