I've been buying this coffee from Goldstar for more than 3 years now. I am always exceptionally pleased. The coffee is fantastic. The roasting is perfect. The packaging is excellent. Delivery is spot on. I also buy many other types of coffee from Goldstar, and I am never disappointed, even if I don't love them as much as I do the Wallenford Estates Jamaican Blue Mountain Dark Roast.

Oh my! My very first order and I am already thoroughly and completely hooked. In fact, I was hooked two or three sips into the very first cup. I’ve loved Kona coffee ever since visiting the island in person, but it is so hard to find in any form, let alone in a K-cup. I can only hope Gold Star can keep making it as fast as I can drink it. And if the Kona wasn’t Heaven enough, the Jamaica Blue finished me off for sure. Smooth, easy on the palate, and oh what a marvelous finish. Wow! GOLD STAR is exactly the right name for this company, unless, of course, they change their name to 100 Gold Stars, because that’s what they’ve earned in this humble coffee drinker’s opinion. (Insert 100 gold stars here. )

I am a beginner at roasting & finally have the right equipment to roast effectively. I used very low heat from a portable camp stove & 120 gm of beans. I stopped at the very 1st crack. Pulled off the heat & sifted with metal colanders, the into cold metal pans. They turned out perfect, the aroma & taste is nirvana.

Don't drink this for any pick me up moment, it's not that kind of coffee. It's meant to give you a musky flavor with half the perks. Fruity acidic is not what I tasted out my batch, it literally feels like I drinking ash. Maybe I had a bad batch from my last order? Regardless, I never would have had this coffee if this wasn't included in my order on the house - I appreciate it but it just wasn't for my household. Every time I personally drank it, it left my throat feeling coarse and dry. I did however find it taste best with honey instead of sugar, black no milk.

My favourite coffee is my favourite and I have been ordering it for years. Always fresh. No complaints. I have tried other coffees as well, some I have liked better then others, but overall all were very good as well. My new favourite is Black. I always order some along with my regular Kona order. Customer service at Goldstar is exceptional. No complaints here either.

With the uncertainty of buying from a website for the first time, it was a great to experience excellent service from Gold Star. 1. The delivery was fast; 2. The beans are fresh and roasted very well; 3. Similar as another customer wrote, I found the coffee tastes bitter too, and it's difficult for me to drink in black. Not sure if it only happened in this batch. Other than that the flavor is very good with a light and wonderful aftertaste; 4. I tried “Yauco Selecto AA” and “mmmMocha” but couldn’t tell their differences; 5. It’s worth trying the sampler pack, and now I want to give their other coffee a try. But I probably won’t buy the sampler pack again.

This is a really good cup of coffee, a pleasing taste of caffeine and not bitter like most Starbucks coffees. Additionally, it holds up well as I make a three mug pot and there is not much difference between the first and last mug even after 1. 5 hours. Try it!

Great product, great service. I'm a coffee snob and a former roaster. The roast on Gold star is ""subtle,"" so if you like a full-bodied, robust bean (which I do), this might not be the coffee for you, but keep reading. I tried several choices. The ones I have stuck with are the ""black"" series, Midnight and Nightwish. These are beautifully done. I'm hooked.

Great coffee, great price, and I’m happy for a month or so. If you want the perfect cup of coffee, try this bean. Smooth, creamy flavor and add some cream to it and it tastes like coffee ice cream. Pure heaven. I have tried many varieties from different plantations. This one is a real winner. I’m so glad I bought the 10 pound package. The price is incredible for this bean. This is the third time that i have purchased Yemen Red Mocha Haraaz AA+ and again, no complaints. I roast it in a drum roaster and have roasted to different levels, each with a somewhat varying taste but always sensational. I love the dark chocolate finish with a bit of a fruity cherry-like hint. Bean size and consistency allows for an even roast unlike many Yemen coffees I have roasted. I love this coffee.

Jamaica Blue Mountain and Kona are a couple of the finest coffees in the world, and among my favorites. They're generally hard to find except in highly diluted blends, but Gold Star has the real stuff at a great price, especially in bulk quantities. I am proud to admit I am a coffee snob. I just can’t go into that Star***** chain and drink that swill. I have been roasting my own coffee for many years. When I can afford Jamaican Blue, I buy it. This bean is superior to some I have had in the past. This roasts up nice, smells incredible, and makes one of the best cups of coffee you will ever have. I bought the 10 pounder, that says how much I love this coffee. Novices can use a hot air popcorn popper to roast beans, a college favorite here. I very highly recommend this bean for anyone wanting one of the smoothest cups of coffee on the planet.

While this coffee is not the taste profile I look for, it is definitely a fantastic coffee. Very balanced, low acidity, no discernible bitterness. If you buy it, finish the bag quickly. The flavor noticeably drops off within a week of being open. Not unpleasant after, but it loses character.

I have had better coffee before but it also cost twice as much. This coffee is brilliant for the price. I found the flavor to be a little more bitter tasting than what I am accustomed to but perhaps that was the intended flavor. Will likely be buying from Gold Star in the future
