Great coffee, great price, and I’m happy for a month or so. If you want the perfect cup of coffee, try this bean. Smooth, creamy flavor and add some cream to it and it tastes like coffee ice cream. Pure heaven. I have tried many varieties from different plantations. This one is a real winner. I’m so glad I bought the 10 pound package. The price is incredible for this bean. This is the third time that i have purchased Yemen Red Mocha Haraaz AA+ and again, no complaints. I roast it in a drum roaster and have roasted to different levels, each with a somewhat varying taste but always sensational. I love the dark chocolate finish with a bit of a fruity cherry-like hint. Bean size and consistency allows for an even roast unlike many Yemen coffees I have roasted. I love this coffee.
Jamaica Blue Mountain and Kona are a couple of the finest coffees in the world, and among my favorites. They're generally hard to find except in highly diluted blends, but Gold Star has the real stuff at a great price, especially in bulk quantities. Pure, unblended, fantastic tasting coffee -- thank you very much, excellent as always!
Really enjoy the coffee, I’m traveling right now, and realize how much I miss Gold Star quality. Personally use a French press, and the results are awesome, but no matter the method of preparation, I can’t recall a bad cup. In our humble opinion, this is the best coffee. The individual 4 pound packs will last 3 months for us. I was a little sceptical at first to commit to 4 lbs but it works out for us. We have been Gold Star customers for years and plan to continue. Thank you Gold Star, our mornings are great!

I am proud to admit I am a coffee snob. I just can’t go into that Star***** chain and drink that swill. I have been roasting my own coffee for many years. When I can afford Jamaican Blue, I buy it. This bean is superior to some I have had in the past. This roasts up nice, smells incredible, and makes one of the best cups of coffee you will ever have. I bought the 10 pounder, that says how much I love this coffee. Novices can use a hot air popcorn popper to roast beans, a college favorite here. I very highly recommend this bean for anyone wanting one of the smoothest cups of coffee on the planet.
While this coffee is not the taste profile I look for, it is definitely a fantastic coffee. Very balanced, low acidity, no discernible bitterness. If you buy it, finish the bag quickly. The flavor noticeably drops off within a week of being open. Not unpleasant after, but it loses character.

coffee was amazing - kahlua creme and jack frost were both excellent. Really enjoy the base coffee and the flavoring was just the right amount on top. A little expensive but worth it - will be ordering again
My first experience with Gold Star was the Hawaiian Kona at a Cafe in Palgrave, Ontario. I thought it was the best cup of coffee I ever had. So I searched it out online and ordered some. I was going to get 3lbs of the Kona and 3lbs of the Jamaica Blue Mountain because I've heard it's really good. I ended up getting 1lb of six different coffees. So far I've finished the Hawaiian Kona and I'm deep into the Puerto Rican Yauco. Both are incredibly good coffees. I very much look forward to trying the other four types that I have.

The roasted mmmMocha is so smooth I can even drink it black, which is unusual for me. As for the unroasted combo pack, I've only tried the Maui Red Catuai and it is as good as the last time I ordered it. Looking forward to trying the Blue Mountain, Kona, Yaaco, and 50TH. The unroasted combo pack is a great way to try premium beans for less cost than would be paid by ordering these beans separately! Jason
Best coffee I’ve ever had. No bitterness, just a lovely nutty taste. I’ve tried coffees from different roasters near me in Nelson BC, but they just don’t compare. . . . and they’re more expensive. ): I’ve already placed my next order for 10lbs.
Having owned a coffee bar, I was skeptical about premium coffee at a super reasonable price so I called Gold Star and asked some questions. With spot-on answers and excellent customer service I decided to give them a try. Am I ever glad I did! This is now our third 10lb order and every bag has been excellent. A few friends are now getting in on our order as they can’t believe the quality and price. I rave about their coffee beans but you should give them a try and make your own decision. They’re a quality operation and if you like premium coffee beans, you’re going to be happy you ordered.

My friend recommend I try the KONA extra fancy in Goldstar. He said Goldstar always keep the good quality coffee beans, and roast right away once customer talk the order. According this beans review from other people, the taste is fantastic. The next order will be coming soon!
Excellent way to buy several types of high end coffee
I’ve purchased single origin green beans (I’m a hone roaster but you can also buy already roasted) in the past but Goldstarcoffee stared offering “mix and match” combination which is an outstanding way to sample a few types. Sometimes I feel like JBM, or even JBM PB, other times Kona. I’ve also experimented with smaller quantities of Maui Red Catuai and Puerto Rican and they’re also excellent but different. When this “mix & match” combination recently became available, I just had to try. Thank you Goldstarcoffee for offering this new combination!!!
I only drink Hawaii Kona coffee and I only buy it from Goldstar coffee. It's always fresh and the taste is delicious. Shipping is quick and well packaged. The coffee has a bold taste and the drip grind is perfect.
I have tried a variety of WBT coffee and never been disappointed. The only thing you can improve is give a discount on unroasted beans vs. their roasted brethren. You roast well, so you should recognize the value added from roasting

My wife always bought back this coffee from her cruise, I thought the flavor was really good. We don't cruise anymore and now Goldstar coffee is our sole source for good coffee.

The title says it all . . . purchased the Kona and Blue Mountain dark roast coffee beans and with a quality burr grinder, my « allongés » , espressos and Italian coffees are impeccable. And this for the price of regular coffee beans . . . Could not believe my eyes nor my taste buds. Came to the conclusion that I slightly prefer the Blue Mountain but both are excellent. Goldstar Coffee is now my go to coffee shop : )
We've now ordered from Gold Star a few times, and we're gradually making our way through flavours (gradually, haha) in their flavoured coffee. My current favourite is Amaretto still, but Bavarian Chocolate comes pretty close! On our last order, we did have problems with three of the flavours. Two of the coffees had an overwhelming banana flavour/scent, and one was missing chocolate. None of the affected flavours had banana in them. I reached out to Gold Star via email just to let them know about the problem, as I figured there must have been a mix up of some sort/something happened during the flavouring process. I was surprised later to get a call from them the next day (I really hadn't been expecting anything), and to have all three bags replaced to make up for the issue! The replacement bags arrived and are solidly delicious as always! On top of this, we also received a free sample bag of ""mmmMocha"" (in our last order) that has also gone down a treat with everyone in our house as a very pleasant surprise! So the sampler definitely helped broaden our horizons. :) Looking forward to putting our next order in when we start running a bit low - as always, will be a trick deciding what to order next! (but in only the best way - so many choices!) Definitely recommend!
