When I first stumbled on Gold Star Coffee, I decided to give it try. It was the best coffee I ever bought. Other companies were good also, but Gold Star roasts their coffee as soon as you put in the order, which makes it the Freshest coffee ever. Another thing that makes Gold Star even better is, you get a full 16 oz lb. , not a 12 oz lb. like other roasters. Other companies measure before roasting, not after. Once I bought from Gold Star, I never bought anywhere else. Hence, the Best & the Freshest Coffee.

The Jamaican blue mountain is my favorite,coffee, the Hawaiian Kona is also on of my favorites. I have tried several other coffees and they are all excellent. Nothing like the smell of a good coffee in the morning and all their coffees smell great and taste delicious

My first cup of Jamaican Blue was in 1990; it was $30/lb. 33 yrs later, I bought online 4-1lb bags of Gold Star Jamaican for ~$83. Free shipping, too. You do the math. The best coffee and for much less than Gold Star's competitors.

I've been home roasting for several years now, having tried different suppliers for green beans. I've been happy with everyone I've ever tried, but Gold Star is my favorite. Not only do they have an awesome selection of premium green beans. they have often thrown in additional gifts for me when I've made purchases. The orders have always been correct and quick to arrive. Blown away! This stuff is great! Product and service is the best. Shipping was fast. Bought me a six pound custom combo pack to try a few and got a half pound gifted. Kona medium and dark, Blue Mountain medium and dark, 50th. and Cafe 645. All super fresh and all so tasty. Unbelievable! Everyone of them! Rich, flavorful, smooth. Adjusted some weights, some grinds and am in heaven. I've had two coffee parties now and everyone has loved all the coffees. Now I have to order and try more. I have purchased coffee from many roasters but no more. Your coffee rocks! I can't wait to see what my next order brings. I know it is going to knock my socks off.

Fantastic coffee roaster. Fresh beans expertly roasted. Low acid as promised. Coffee is clean tasting and incredibly aromatic. I use an expresso machine for which oily beans are not suitable, and Gold Star called me to confirm my needs. I’ve just moved from NY and this is my go-to place for coffee beans in Toronto after shopping at several other places.

I ordered 4 different decaf flavours to test them out. My first cup wasn't as flavourful as I expected but I think it's because I didn't put enough coffee grounds for water ratio. All following pots have been great and flavourful. I bought After 8 (chocolate mint), Chocolate raspberry, Butter Pecan, and Vanilla Almond Chocolate. All are great. The Butter Pecan doesn't have any sweetness to it (but it's not bitter either). It's more ""buttery"" than ""pecany"" but not in a gross way. It's flavourful but I guess I expected sweet Butter Pecan pie flavour, which it isn't. I haven't had any heartburn, which is fantastic. Very happy with my purchase and I'll be buying more for sure. Doesn't taste like decaf.

Roasted on a Kaffelogic Nano - beans are a bit darker than in photo but a really easy bean to roast. Noticeable and consistent first crack, beautiful flavor with depth and complexity.
